The SCANAUDIO-SET SYSTEM is designed to provide high-quality sound reinforcement for events in small to medium-sized marquees or halls covering distances up to 40 metres and areas in the region of 1,000 square metres. The SCAN AUDIO SYSTEM produces a maximum SPL of 137 dB L +137 dB R in the medium-and high frequency ranges and up to 141 dB in the bass. In its basic configuration, the SCAN AUDIO SYSTEM consists of four TOP midrange/high-frequency enclosures, four  SUB subwoofers, a ready cabled and programmed 12 U amp rack,the CA-12, as well as the necessary 4-core loudspeaker cables and a 2.5¡Æ wedge set (comprising a pair of wedges that can be placed at the front or back of the cabinets) to aim the TOPs at the listening area. The coverage pattern of the SCAN AUDIO SYSTEM is 120¡Æ in the horizontal plane and 15¡Æ in the vertical. Up to six TOPs and six SUBs can be driven by the CA-12 AMP RACK without difficulty. To allow for expansion of the system, the CA-12 has room for an additional 3U power amplifier (sub extension,separate front-/side-fill or monitor), which gets its current from the CP-44 connector panel. The largest sensible configuration of the SCAN AUDIO SYSTEM consists of one SCAN AUDIO array per side (four TOPs and 4-6 SUBs per side). For especially powerful and penetrating bass reproduction, suitable for a wide range of types of music and venue, SCAN PWH bass horns can be integrated into the SCAN AUDIO SYSTEM. Since doubling the number of  TOP enclosures halves their vertical radiation angle, special attention must be paid to the way they are aligned – regardless of whether they are flown or stacked. A TOP has a coverage pattern of 120¡Æ x 30¡Æ (horizontal and vertical). Two TOPs stacked directly on top of one another have a coverage pattern of 120¡Æ x 15¡Æ and four stacked cabinets, 120¡Æ x 7.5¡Æ. With a ground stack, it is easy to aim the TOP cabinets at the listening area by placing CSW-25 2.5¡Æ wedges between the SUBs or the PWHs



S4-TOP loudspeaker
The S4-TOP is a coaxial hornloaded mid / high frequency loudspeaker and its narrow dispersion characteristics of 35¡Æ x 35¡Æ above 700 Hz allow for clear and intelligible sound reproduction over long distances at very high SPLs. This focusing of sound into a narrow beam is of special benefit in acoustically critical situations. The S4-TOP cabinet is constructed from marine plywood and has an impact resistant paint finish, steel handles and MAN CF4 stud plate rigging points. The front of the loudspeaker cabinet is fitted with catches at the top and bottom for securing an optional transport lid, and mounted on the rear panel are ratchet strap guide plates, two hinge plates and four heavy duty wheels.

S4-SUB subwoofer
The S4-SUB is a bandpass subwoofer with a rich, punchy sound, specifically designed to match the S4-TOP and extend the C4 frequency response down to 50 Hz. Its cabinet shape, size and flying arrangements are totally compatible with the  S4-TOP. The S4-SUB cabinet is constructed from marine plywood and has an impact resistant paint finish, steel handles and MAN CF4 stud plate rigging points. There are fittings at the top and bottom for securing an optional transport lid, and mounted on the rear panel are ratchet strap guide plates, two hinge plates and four heavy duty wheels.
